The final day at Puerto Princesa was spent on touring the actual city and then prepping for our flight back to Manila. The places included in the city tour was the Crocodile Farm, Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm, the house owned by one of the politicians in the area and Baker’s Hill, where a lot of people are said to buy their hopia. My favorite part of the entire city tour was definitely the Crocodile Farm. We were able to look at baby and huge saltwater and freshwater crocodiles, have our pictures taken while holding a baby croc, and touring their nature park where ostriches, hornbills, serpent eagles, etc were found. The only drawback was that that there were lots of mosquitoes and some of the paths were covered with mud. If you intend to visit the nature park, come prepared and lather on lots of insect-repellent lotions!

A late lunch was held at Badjao Seafront Restaurant, which was thankfully just a few minutes away from the airport. Food was pretty damn good, and it wasn’t as expensive as we initially thought it would be.

After lunch, we went straight to the airport and waited for our flight back to Manila. While waiting for our boarding time, the entire group was already planning for the next big trip! Possible destinations include Bohol, Davao, Siargao and Ilocos Norte, among others. Plans for travel abroad were also discussed. Exactly when these plans will come true is still a big question mark, but I’m positive it’ll unravel itself soon enough. 🙂
