KL Tower Serviced Residences: The Staycation

I enjoy traveling to different places, but sometimes it’s just not possible to simply pack up and leave. Here’s when staycations become such a big deal for me. It usually entails all the rest and relaxation without the hassle of long commutes and obtaining a lot of travel documents. When my friend Dems invited me to an overnight stay at KL Tower Serviced Residences in Makati, I made sure I didn’t miss it!

The Kalaw-Ledesma Group owns KL Tower, with Hospitality Innovators, Inc. (HII) managing it. I personally love that the place is in the middle of Makati and that it’s near the places I frequent. It’s just steps away from Greenbelt Mall, Legaspi Park and numerous dining establishments.

KL Tower lobby

The lobby isn’t as grand as those found in other places, but I loved the dark and classy feel. It’s also a plus that everyone we interacted with during our stay were polite and welcoming.

That’s Dems and I in the reflection. 🙂
Check-in procedures were a breeze and we were led to the room reserved for us: their One Bedroom with Loft unit. I loved it! I’ve always found places with lofts to be really cool.

living room

The room had an airy feel to it, thanks to the high ceiling in the living room. It was where we enjoyed lounging around, watching Korean shows and catching up on the latest stuff that were happening in our lives. The sofa was so cozy; I’d love to bring it home if I could.

kitchen and dining area

I also liked that we had our own mini kitchen and dining area. We didn’t get to cook our own meals since we headed out for dinner, but we were able to prepare some tea before we called it a night.

Another thing worth mentioning is the bed! It’s honestly one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in my life. Even the humongous pillows were awesome. I slept soundly throughout the night and struggled to get up the next morning.

My love for breakfast won over the desire to lay in bed all morning though. For breakfast, Dems and I headed to Kitchen 1B which was just next door. We enjoyed a filling meal, thanks to the unlimited serving of bread, salad, cereal and drinks which came with our choice of main dish.

daing na bangus

I had Daing na Bangus with rice and scrambled eggs as my main. Admittedly, I thought the fish tasted quite ordinary but I liked how the scrambled eggs were cooked.

After such a hearty breakfast, we decided to just stay in the room and relax. Lounging around with no solid plans is my definition of a perfect rest day, but I get it; some of you aren’t like me and would rather do something more productive while on staycation. Fret not because KL Tower Serviced Residences have other amenities you can take advantage of.

swimming pool

Maybe you’d like to take a dip in their indoor pool or sweat it out at the in-house gym. If those aren’t for you, you could spend some time in their sauna rooms. Those are located on the same floor as the pool.

The rooms have complimentary WiFi for random browsing or (if you really, really must) work. They also have two conference rooms you may book for meetings or any intimate events you might have.

Staying at KL Tower Serviced Residences offered most of the luxuries of other hotels without the extremely high price tag. Most importantly, the place felt like home to us. I started recommending it to other people because of that reason. Thank you for having us over, KL Tower! 🙂
